I am a Brooklyn-based illustrator and designer, and a recent Pratt Institute alumna- class of 2021, with a bachelor’s degree in communication design. My work studies various sciences, primarily focusing on the biological and physical branches. Based on extensive research and collaboration, my projects emphasize the natural world and aim to make science approachable and accessible to all ages. In addition, I create surreal pieces that apply my knowledge of nature to whimsical illustration, generally paired with information or narrative.
With skills in illustration, animation, typography, bookmaking, and writing, these pieces and publications document and depict my research as educational and surreal visual communication. The types of projects include scientific illustration, illustrative models, comics, book design, typography design, and pattern making. I work in a variety of media, both digital and traditional, or a combination of the two. I have experience with a variety of freelance work and specialize in publications such as children's books, text books, zines and magazines.
